Brian Freeman - Project Manager
Duties of the Project Manager include:
- Schedule milestones, work with Gantt chart schedule, inform team members of schedule changes
- Communicate with the customer/sponsor
- Back end programming and designing
Brian is a Computer Science major whose primary interests are in programming languages, computer and hardware interaction, and accessibility issues on the web. Brian is an avid baseball fan and enjoys movies.
Ancandy Jin - Physical Components Leader
Duties of the Physical Components Leader:- Ensure safety and reliability of hardware
- Building components used in applications
- Team Secretary
Ancandy is double major in Computer Information Technology and Mathematics with an Actuarial concentration. She is easy-going and enjoys working with others. She is detail oriented and relishes the small touches that take projects from sufficient to superlative. Ancandy has played the violin for more than seventeen years and enjoys reading, singing, movies, and spending time with friends. She is originally from Beijing, China.
Anh Pham - Applications Leader
Duties of the Applications Leader include:- Applications design and programming
- Ensure safety and reliability of applications hardware
- Maintain Project Media (photos and videos)
Anh Pham, a native of Hanoi, Vietnam, is a Computer Information Technology major minoring in Business. He is interested in web technologies and their business application. In his spare time, Anh enjoys racquetball, soccer, and photography.
Jamie Phelps - Front End Leader
Duties of the Front End Leader include:
- User Interface design and programming
- Website Maintenance
- Assist with problems arising with the server
Jamie Phelps, a Computer Information Technology major, is interested in interface design, user experience, and accessibility. He specializes in web technologies and Mac programming using Objective-C and the Cocoa frameworks with an eye toward Cocoa Touch. Jamie is married with eight pets and a prodigious collection of Pez dispensers.
Edward Tran - Back End Leader and Quality Assurance
Duties of the Back End Leader include:
- Implementation of base station and SPOT subsystems of SUMS
- Primary back end programmer
- Primary quality assurance tester
Edward is a Computer Science major with minors in Math and Physics. He currently works as a Java and C tutor for the Computer Science department and as a research assistant in the mobile HCI lab. His research interests include algorithms, artificial intelligence, and human-computer interaction. He is Vice President of both the Computer Science Society and Upsilon Pi Epsilon, Treasurer of the Asian Student Association, and President of the Asian Media Association. Edward enjoys movies and video games and plans to pursue a master’s in computer science after graduation.
